Indian Air Force Plane Crashes in Madhya Pradesh; Pilot Rescued

An Indian Air Force Mirage 2000 fighter jet crashed this morning in Bhind, Madhya Pradesh. The Indian Air Force (IAF) announced that the pilot ejected safely.

“During a training sortie in the central sector this morning, an IAF Mirage 2000 aircraft had a technical fault. The pilot was able to safely exit the plane. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the crash “In a tweet, the IAF stated.

After the crash, the plane caught fire adding that the pilot was saved.

The wreckage is strewn across an empty field near Mankabad, around 6 kilometres from Bhind, according to the images. A police cordon has been set up around the crash site, which features the flaming tail piece of the trainer jet half buried in the grass.
