Indian Railways Cancels 29 Trains After Heavy Rain, Landslides in Assam; Check Full List
Continuous rains and landslides have wreaked havoc in Assam. At least three individuals have died, and rail and road transportation in the state have been disrupted. Water has buried roads and railroad tracks, causing damage to many railway lines. In light of the current scenario, Indian Railways’ North East Frontier Railway(NFR) zone said that 29 trains had been halted or cancelled due to Assam floods and rainfall in a statement. “In light of water logging and landslides owing to heavy rain, at km 113/4-5 between Jatinga Lumpur and New Harangajao, at Km 131/1-2 between Bandarkhal and Ditokcherra sections, and many spots in Lumding,” the NFR stated in a statement.

According to ANI news, the persistent rain has caused such destruction that 1245 railway passengers trapped at Ditockcherra station have been transported to Badarpur and Silchar, and 119 passengers have been evacuated to Silchar by the Air Force.
