NIA Arrested Two More Accused In Connection With The Murder Of Pharmacist Umesh Kolhe
Two more accused are arrested in connection with the murder of pharmacist Umesh Kolhe by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday. The deceased person is said to be calculated objectionable Whatsapp posts on Prophet Muhammad made by BJP’s suspended spokesperson, Nupur Sharma months back.
In the Amravati, Maharashtra pharmacist murdered case, the arrest has reached the number of nine accused so far. Kolhe, 54, was stabbed to death on 21st June 2022 for purportedly sending a post supporting the former spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata Party Nupur Sharma on a social messaging platform.
The two accused who have been arrested by NIA were identified as Murshid Ahmed Abdul Rashid, 49, resident of Transport Nagar is accused of collecting funds and the other accused Abdul Arbaz Abdul Salim, 23, resident of Lalkhadi is accused of sheltering the other accused in the murder case.
Abdul Salim is reportedly the driver of Irfan Khan, the main accused in the case. The NIA team has initiated questioning the accused and the houses of the accused will likely be searched. They will also be brought before the court, where the NIA will request custody.
