True legends in the bodybuilding world are hard to come by since the discipline is so challenging. Famous bodybuilders include Phil Heath, Ronnie Coleman, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Due to the popularity of the sport, India has developed a good number of strong bodybuilders. Deepak Nanda is one such bodybuilder from India.

Deepak Nanda has been referred to as "Indian Rock" because of his striking similarity to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson of the WWE. At the last International Bodybuilding Show "Amateur Olympia IFBB Pro Show" in Mumbai, Deepak defeated 243 opponents to win the IFBB Pro Card in the overall classic category.

Deepak must weigh 93 kilogrammes and be 5 feet, 10 inches tall in order to be granted a professional license. The day before the competition, he learned that in order to compete in the B division, he needed to weigh 89 kg. He weighed 89 kg the following day after his trainer had given it a shot. "They packed me full of rice and forbade me from drinking so they could feed it to him" reports Aaj Tak.

Deepak had a terrible time raising up. He was raised in a middle-class household. He served tea and water at a store when he was in the seventh grade before going to class. At the time, he received Rs 50 per day. During an interview, Deepak stated this to Aaj Tak.
