Karnataka Election Results 2023 Updates: Congress on the lead; BJP, JDS claw back in a few seats

The Congress is currently slightly over halfway through the voting process in Karnataka. The JDS has caught up in some of the seats it was previously losing, and the BJP is not far behind. A majority in the Congress is possible. 

In the South, Kalyan, Kittur, and Karnataka regions, the Congress is in the lead with more seats. In the Bangalore and coastal regions of Karnataka, the BJP is in the lead. In the 224-member Karnataka Assembly, 113 seats must be won by a party or alliance in order to gain a majority.

Siddaramaiah in Varuna, Basavraj Bommai in Shiggaon, and DK Shivakumar in Kanakapura are a few of the leaders. Nikhil Kumaraswamy of the JD(S) is in charge from Ramanagara, and Dr. Ashwanth Narayan, the IT Minister, is in charge from Malleshwaram.
