Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman stated on Tuesday that Kisan Drones for crop evaluation, land records, and insecticide spraying would be pushed.
“The use of Kisan Drones for agricultural assessments, land records, and insecticide spraying is projected to usher in a new era of technology.”
As she read out the terms of Budget 2022-23, the Finance Minister added, “Agriculture and farming sector.” Other five similar river interlinking projects’ DPRS (detailed project reports) are also in the works.
She also stated that the government would provide a comprehensive package for state governments and MSMEs to participate in introducing natural farming to farmers.
The government’s priority is inclusive development, which includes farmers for the Paddy, Kharif, and Rabi crops, with 1,000 lakh metric tonnes (LMT) paddy scheduled to be procured, helping over one crore farmers, according to the Finance Minister.
According to the Finance Minister, natural farming would be promoted along the Ganga corridor. Its goal is to cut down on fertiliser use, which pollutes groundwater and drains into the Ganges, stated the Finance Minister
