Lawyers shout 'hang the killer' at Delhi court during trial of Shraddha's murderer
The lawyers brought up catchphrases like "Shraddha ke hatyare ko fansi do, fansi do" (hang Shraddha's killer) just as the judge consented to consider motions submitted by the Delhi Police.

On Thursday, chaos broke out in Delhi's Saket Court when a large group of attorneys gathered outside the courtroom to call for the execution of Aaftab Amin Poonawala, who is accused of killing his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar. The lawyers brought up catchphrases like "Shraddha ke hatyare ko fansi do, fansi do" (hang Shraddha's killer) just as the judge consented to consider motions submitted by the Delhi Police.
According to reports, 100 Saket district court attorneys who often represent clients gathered at 3 p.m. when they learned that the defendant will be brought before metropolitan magistrate Aviral Shukla. Surendra Kumar, one of the protesting attorneys, claimed that the demonstration was organised because of the accused's horrible deed. "We demand that the matter be thoroughly investigated. It should be decided quickly in a fast-track court, according to Kumar, as reported by the news source PTI.
Despite a 10-day plea by the Delhi Police, the Delhi court has prolonged Poonawala's custody there by five days. A narco-analysis test of the accused was permitted by the court as well.
