HD Kumaraswamy, the former Chief Minister of Karnataka and a JD(S) leader said on Tuesday that he has learned nothing from the RSS “Shakha,” alleging that those who were taught there were watching “blue films” at the legislative Assembly when the session was in session.
The state BJP president, Nalin Kumar Kateel, had recently invited the JD(S) leader to visit an RSS Shakha and learn about the Sangh’s operations.
“I’m not interested in their (RSS) company. Have we not seen what RSS Shakha teaches? When the Vidhana Soudha was in session, the best way to behave was to watch blue films. Isn’t this something they (BJP) learn in RSS Shakha? Is it necessary for me to travel there (to RSS shakha) in order to learn this?” HD Kumaraswamy had asked.
HD Kumaraswamy was referring to a 2012 event in which three ministers were caught on camera reportedly watching pornography on their phones during the state Assembly’s proceedings, causing embarrassment to the then-BJP government.
Following the incident, all three ministers resigned.
Mr. Kumaraswamy went on to say that the BJP governments at the Centre and in Karnataka were acting on the orders of the RSS and that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is its “puppet.”
