Maharashtra: Panic caused by mysterious underground noises in Hasori village
The people of Hasori village in Maharashtra’s Latur district have been terrified for the past few days as a result of strange underground noises. Since September 6, according to locals, there have been strange underground noises.
Officials from the district have requested that scientists from the Indian Institute of Geomagnetism look into the strange incidents in order to provide a scientific explanation.
The distance between Killari, the site of a terrible earthquake that killed around 9,700 people in 1993, and Hasori village is 28 kilometres. Local authorities state that no seismic activity has been found in the area since that time.
Prithviraj B P, the district collector for Latur, went to the hamlet on Tuesday to survey the area and meet with the residents. He urged the crowd to remain calm. The area will be visited on Wednesday by a group of professionals from Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University in Nanded, according to officials.
