“The accused perpetrated such a horrific crime against a four-and-a-half-year-old girl that even an animal would never,” the court noted in its ruling.
To avoid being charged, the accused raped the minor and then drowned her in the pond. 141 documents were offered as evidence during the trial at POCSO Court, in addition to the statements of 41 witnesses. Suresh was sentenced to death by the court for raping and killing the kid, according to the Special Public Prosecutor.
“The accused tortured an innocent girl who had no comprehension other than eating, drinking, and sleeping, and then killed her by putting her into the water to obliterate the evidence,” the judge continued. In such a case, the accused not only raped the kid with unbelievable lust and brutality but also committed unnatural activities. As a result, he ought to be executed.”
According to Special Public Prosecutors Mahavir Singh Kishnawat and Vijaya Pareek, the child’s mother reported on August 12, 2021 that her four-year-old daughter went to the neighbourhood the day before and did not return. The body of the girl was eventually discovered floating in a pond. Before the murder, the post-mortem report revealed rape and unnatural acts.
The police organised various investigation teams, apprehended the accused on August 13, and brought a challan against him in court within the next eight days. “It was imperative for the accused to receive the death punishment,” the victim’s father Bhaskar stated after the conviction. No one would try to perpetrate such a horrific atrocity now.” (IANS)
