Following clashes between Assam police and Meghalayan villagers in the West Karbi Anglong region, where six persons were killed—five Meghalayans and one Assam Forest Guard—internet use was restricted for seven days in the affected regions of Meghalaya.
Vehicle movement between Meghalaya and its neighboring states has resumed, and Monday morning saw a return to the regular flow of traffic.
