Meghalaya Poll Results: NPP has registered its first win from Nartiang Seat

Sniawbhalang Dhar defeated his opposition candidates to earn the NPP's first victory from the Nartiang seat in Meghalaya.
The process of tallying the votes cast in the Meghalaya assembly elections is now underway. On February 27, around 77.9% of eligible voters in Meghalaya cast ballots. Early indications suggest that NPP will become the single-largest party.

Three exit polls indicate that the NPP would win about 20 of the 59 seats in Meghalaya that were up for election. Nonetheless, it's anticipated that the BJP and Congress would each win six seats. The National People's Party (NPP), which won 20 seats, formed the government after forming post-election alliances with regional parties and the BJP, depriving Congress of its nearly uninterrupted control over the state since it was created in 1972, despite the fact that it won 21 of the state's 60 seats in the 2018 elections.
