Meghalaya: Schools to remain close from 17th June due to adverse weather condition

Due to the adverse weather and the IMD (Indian Meteorological Department), Isolated extremely heavy rainfall also likely over Assam & Meghalaya during 16th-18th June; over Arunachal Pradesh on 16th and over SHWB& Sikkim on 16th & 17th June.

Under the influence of strong SWly winds from BoB to NE & adjoining east India in lower tropospheric levels:
o Isolated extremely heavy rainfall also likely over Assam & Meghalaya during 16th-18th June; over Arunachal Pradesh on 16th and over SHWB& Sikkim on 16th & 17th June.

MET Centre Shillong’s warning of severe to very heavy rainfall expected to continue throughout Meghalaya over the next five days, The Education Department has issued an advise that all schools are recommended to close from June 17 to June 20, 2022.
