Meghalaya Tableau Depicts the Contribution of Women in its Development...

The tableau was created in honour of Meghalaya's 50th anniversary as a state this year. The front of the tableau included a lady weaving a bamboo basket, as well as a variety of Meghalayan bamboo and cane items. The tableau in Meghalaya featured bamboo and cane handicrafts, as well as Lakadong turmeric, to honour women-led cooperative societies and self-help groups that worked tirelessly to revitalise the popularity and demand for these items.
