Minor gangraped at birthday party; forcibly cremated: TMC leader’s son arrested in West Bengal

Another daughter was slaughtered in India’s rape culture. A heinous crime was exposed when a minor girl died in Hanskhali, West Bengal’s Nadia district, after she was allegedly gang-raped during a birthday celebration.

The main offender, according to the girl’s relatives, is the son of a Trinamool Congress panchayat member, who has been arrested pending further inquiry.

Brajgopal Goala (21), the son of Samar Goala, a member of the local gram panchayat, has been apprehended in this case, according to sources.

On Saturday, four days after the incident, the parents of the girl, a Class 9 student, filed a complaint against the accused at Hanskhali police station.

The girl went to the accused’s house on Monday afternoon to attend his birthday celebration, but she returned home in a critical condition and died soon after, according to the complaint.

Her family reported that their daughter was bleeding profusely and having severe abdominal pain after she came back from the party at the residence of the son of the local TMC leader, and before thery could take her to the hospital, she died.

After studying the sequence of events and speaking with the people present at the party, we are sure she was gang-raped by the accused and his friends,” the girl’s mother told news agency PTI.

In addition, she claimed that a group of people forcibly cremated the minor’s body before her death certificate had been issued.

Meanwhile, the case was filed under the Indian Penal Code’s sections 376(2)(G) (gangrape), 302 (murder), and 204 (tampering with evidence) as well as pertinent parts of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.

Sashi Panja, a top TMC politician and the state’s Minister of Women and Child Development, said the ruling party has zero tolerance for abuse of minors and women in response to the crime.

“The situation should not be politicized.” “Police will investigate and take further action as soon as feasible,” she stated.
