In Bengaluru’s flood-hit city, Unacademy’s CEO’s family evacuated in a tractor

An ongoing series of heartbreaking videos demonstrates that neither the rich nor the poor have been spared as daily life in parts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, continues to be affected by floods brought on by severe rainfall. Due to severe waterlogging in the city and entirely drowned slum homes, several IT professionals in India’s Silicon Valley have had to commute to work using tractors. The crisis has been hailed as a tremendous leveller by a number of social media users.

Gaurav Munjal, CEO of ed-tech company Unacademy, posted a video earlier today showing his family and dog being driven away on a tractor after their apartment complex was inundated.

“Family and my pet Albus have been rescued on a tractor from our now drowned society. Situation is dire. Please be careful. DM me if you need assistance, and I’ll do my best to assist “He tweeted the footage of the tractor wading through water, too.
