After images from Ranveer Singh’s nude photoshoot went popular on social media, Mumbai Police filed a FIR against him for “hurting sensibilities of women.”

The Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 509, 292, and 294 as well as Section 67 A of the IT Act were used to charge Ranveer Singh. On Tuesday, an FIR was filed against him at the Chembur police station.
A woman lawyer and an office-bearer of a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) situated in the east Mumbai suburb separately filed the complaint petitions at the Chembur police station.
The NGO office-holder claimed the actor had offended women generally and mocked their modesty in his photos.

The “Jayeshbhai Jordaar” actor was accused of intending to offend women’s modesty in the application that the attorney filed.
Ranveer Singh was photographed in the nude by PAPER magazine. The actor is shown in the photos bare-chested while posing on a Turkish rug. Burt Reynolds, who performed a comparable nude photo shoot for Cosmopolitan magazine, served as the model for his photo shoot.
Singh has received praise from many for his daring photo session, but it has also gotten him into trouble with certain social media users. He received both praise and trolling in equal measure, and now that an FIR has been filed against him, he is in trouble with the law.
