Consumer goods giants Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) and Nestle India (Nestle) have upped the pricing of numerous everyday staples in a major surprise to tea and coffee drinkers. The price of Taj Mahal tea has been increased from 3.7 to 5.8%, while the price of Bru Coffee has been raised by 3-7 percent. Prices have risen ahead of the release of retail inflation figures for February 2022.
On Monday, March 14, 2022, the new rates went into effect. In addition, Nestle has chosen to boost the pricing of a variety of products, including Maggi. According to estimates, a 70-gram pack of Maggi will cost Rs 14, which is Rs 2 more than before. The corporation has stated that rising manufacturing costs have resulted in a rate increase.
