The recent fire in Mumbai that destroyed two film sets killed one person. On Friday, a fire broke out on the sets at Chitrakoot Grounds in Andheri West. The fire destroyed the sets of director Luv Ranjan’s upcoming untitled film, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, as well as the sets of a Rajshri Production production.
According to reports, a 32-year-old man died in the fire, which was extinguished after five hours with the help of eight fire engines, five water jetties, and other equipment. In the meantime, another individual was hurt in the fire.
According to civic officials, Manish Devashi, who was injured in the fire, was confirmed dead at the civic-run Cooper Hospital. According to Ashok Dubey, General Secretary of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees, a person doing set lighting work on Luv Ranjan’s film sets also suffered minor injuries.
The fire started in a temporary pandal where some wooden objects were housed. However, the cause of the fire is unknown. Meanwhile, Ashok Dubey claimed that the contractor who built these sets was the same person who built the film set at Bangur Nagar that caught fire a year and a half ago.
