Only women will march beside Rahul Gandhi during the Bharat Jodo Yatra to commemorate the birth anniversary of Indira Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress, has been working to rebrand both his party and himself for more than two months. Rahul Gandhi is attempting to win over Indians with his door-to-door campaign, Bharat Jodo.

The Maharashtra portion of the Bharat Jodo Yatra is presently underway. Before entering Maharashtra, the Yatra travelled through portions of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. The Maharashtra Yatra will cover a distance of 382 kilometres before entering Madhya Pradesh as Rahul Gandhi passes across 15 Assembly and 6 Parliamentary Constituencies in 5 districts.
