PM Modi and Rata Tata inaugurates seven state-of-the art cancer hospitals in Assam

On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and businessman Ratan Tata inaugurated seven state-of-the-art cancer hospitals in Assam and lay the foundation stone for seven more.

In the presence of Assam governor Jagdish Mukhi, Union minister Sarbananda Sonowal, and Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, he unveiled a plaque in front of the center.

 The Prime Minister stated at the ceremony that his government has also concentrated on preventive healthcare through yoga, fitness, and cleanliness.

“Hospitals are at your service,” the Prime Minister said, “but I’ll be glad if these new hospitals remain empty; I pray for your health.”

“I devote my remaining years to health,” remarked Ratan Tata, who was also present at the event. Make Assam a state that everyone recognizes.”

During a tour of the center, which is located on the Assam Medical College and Hospital grounds, PM Modi checked at the facilities and equipment.

In a separate program, he virtually inaugurated six more identical facilities. Barpeta, Tezpur, Jorhat, Lakhimpur, Kokrajhar, and Darrang are among the places where these can be found.

At the same occasion, PM Modi also lay the foundation for seven hospitals in the project: Dhubri, Goalpara, Golaghat, Sivasagar, Nalbari, Nagaon, and Tinsukia.
