Tech giant Apple has warned of serious security threat for iphone, mac and ipad users that allows hackers to control the devices. The tech giant has directed the users to update their software for protection. The company discovered a flaw in their operating system but has not yet revealed the extent to which the flaw has been exploited. Thus, Apple has urged their customers to update their device as soon as possible, as the company dropped two software updates, on Wednesday.
Apple said that the exploitation by the hackers will allows them to take in charge of the device operating system to “execute arbitrary code” and infiltrate device through “maliciously crafted web content.”
The vulnerability affects iphone 6s model, ipad 5th generation and later, ipad Air 2 and later, ipad mini 4 and later, all ipad Pro model, the 7th generation iPod touch and mac computers that are running from company’s Monetary OS or Apple’s Safari browser.
US government Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency warns “an attacker could exploit one of these vulnerabilities to take control of an affected device.”
Apple has not mentioned regarding the number of users who are currently affected due to the issue but said that it is aware of the report that had been exploited.
