Rajkummar Rao received his first paycheck of 300 rupees; here is what he purchased
Rajkummar Rao, one of Bollywood's most versatile actors, is currently savouring the success and adulation of his OTT film Monica, O My Darling. However, he was raised in a middle-class household before making it big in Bollywood. He mentioned his first paycheck while reminiscing about his younger years and explained what he had done with it.
His initial source of income when he began his career was as a dancing instructor. In an interview with comedian Zakir Khan, Rajkummar Rao disclosed his first-ever earnings and revealed, "I still remember I used to perform martial arts, taekwondo," according to a Hindustan Times report. At the national level, I won a gold medal. But eventually, dancing also entered my life in some way. We used to perform on stage as a group and dance. I then began instructing dance. My first income came from teaching dancing to a little girl at her house while I was in class VIII. For that, I used to receive 300. Rajkummar Rao went on to say that he had used the money to buy groceries and described how he felt after handing his mother the goods. He shared it by saying, "When I got my first 300, I used it to buy groceries for my house. I bought modest amounts of everything, including dal, rice, and sugar. So I returned home and gave it (to my parents). No matter how much you work or how much money you make, that feeling won't ever return. You may give anything you want as a gift to anyone, but it felt amazing to give my mother that $300 worth of goods.
