Sara Ali Khan will star in Prime Video’s Ae Watan Mere Watan as the lead; the actress will portray a freedom warrior, according to Varun Dhawan
Sara Ali Khan has recently been introduced by Varun Dhawan as the main character in the upcoming Ae Watan Mere Watan Amazon Original Movie, which begins production this month. Varun disclosed Sara Ali Khan will play a brave, lion-hearted freedom fighter in a fictitious story set against the backdrop of the Quit India Movement in 1942 in his distinctive, unmistakable way.
Sara signed this project early this year, a source told Bollywood Hungama. The movie will start shooting in a few weeks once she has accomplished all of her other obligations. She has been practising for the movie and is thrilled to play a real-life role for the first time.
The establishment of Congress Radio by Usha Mehta as an underground radio station would be a prominent theme of the movie, the insider claims. It operated for a brief period of time during the 1942 Quit India Movement. It made a significant impact during those few months by transmitting news that was unedited and other information that the British government of India had forbade, substantially assisting the freedom movement.
Ae Watan Mere Watan, a thriller drama based on actual events, was written by Darab Farooqui and Kannan Iyer. The movie, which is being made by Dharmatic Entertainment, is being directed by Kannan Iyer and is being produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra.
