Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia launched a scathing attack on his former colleague Rahul Gandhi for his remark about “two Indias,” expressing his surprise that any citizen could make such a statement. While claiming that the country is united, he stated that Gandhi desired a pre-2014 India that was free of corruption.
Rahul Gandhi launched a no-holds-barred attack on the BJP over topics like federalism, unemployment, and national security in his response to the Motion of Thanks on the President’s address on Wednesday. He stated at the outset of his address that there is one India for the wealthy and powerful, and another for the poor. He also expressed concern about the growing divide between these two groups of people.
“The impoverished have their own India.” And the chasm between these two Indias is increasing,” said the Wayanad MP. On this occasion, he claimed that “under the Modi regime, 3 crore jobs were lost in the last year, and 23 crore people were thrown back into poverty.”
A day before Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Minister of Civil Aviation, took issue with Congress lawmaker Shashi Tharoor’s statements about making Lok Sabha reply in Hindi. Scindia responded in Hindi to supplemental questions posed in English by lawmakers from Tamil Nadu.
