Shraddha murder case: Aaftab taken to Chhatarpur forest, recovers 13 body parts

On Monday, police discovered the gory murder of Shraddha Walker in Mehrauli, Delhi. The crime was committed and plotted by her live-in lover, Aaftab Amin Poonawala. Apparently, Aaftab, 28, strangled his live-in lover Shraddha Walker in May of this year, then chopped her body up into 35 pieces and threw it away. The Delhi police promptly apprehended him after publicizing the grisly details of the crime. Initially believed to be human, ten skeletal samples were discovered, collected by forensic experts, and are currently being identified.

They'll be delivered to compare to her father's DNA samples. Shraddha's phone, which had been traced since its last known location, was dropped by Aftab. Police are looking for the weapon that was used to cut up her remains. He pretended she was still alive until June by using her Instagram account. The two met through the dating app "Bumble," according to Delhi police. " Within 15–20 days of her murder, Aaftab would visit the flat with a different lover he found through the dating app "Bumble."

Ram Kadam, a BJP MLA, said on Tuesday that he will write to the Delhi Police to ask for a probe into a possible "Love Jihad" motive for the slaying of Shraddha Walkar, a native of Vasai near Mumbai.
