Tejashwi endorses new ally for prime minister in 2024: ‘If Narendra Modi can do it, why can’t Nitish Ji?’
One day after Nitish Kumar stated he was not running for prime minister but did fight the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Tejashwi Yadav endorsed him for the position.
“Nitish Kumar will handle it” (on consensus PM candidate for 2024). The nation has been informed of what he did in Bihar. Fight, don’t be afraid; this will only serve to encourage the adversary. He has expertise. Yadav was quoted by NDTV as stating, “If Narendra Modi can do it, why can’t Nitish Ji?”
The Indian people demand “a face against Narendra Modi,” he added, adding the opposition should band together and create a blueprint.
Yadav claimed the decision to form an alliance with Kumar was “spontaneous and on the spot” and that it was not a “pre-planned move to join together” a day after taking the oath of office in the new JD(U)-RJD+ administration.
However, on Wednesday, after taking his eighth oath as the chief minister of Bihar, Kumar taken down rumours that he might now consider running for prime minister in the next general election, but he added that the Modi-led NDA government at the Center does need to “worry” about its prospects in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
