Thailand mass shooting claimed lives of children as young as 2 years old, while they were sleeping

After an ex-police officer went on the rampage and then killed himself and his family, dozens of people were killed at a children’s nursery in Thailand, including at least 23 children.

Before launching his attack while the preschoolers were asleep, the assailant is claimed to have stormed the nursery with a gun and a knife. It is estimated that at least 35 individuals, including a teacher who was expecting, were killed overall.

In Nong Bua Lamphu province in the country’s far north, victims were discovered at a number of buildings and on the street near the pre-school, as shown in the horrifying aftermath of the massacre. According to the local authorities, three of the casualties were youngsters as young as two years old.

According to Bloomberg, there were suspicions that the shooter used drugs. The ex-cop who was the shooter was terminated from the service due to drug addiction, according to police. According to Chakkraphat Wichitvaidya, the superintendent of the Na Klang police station, the shooter was let off from the force last year.
