On Wednesday, the Assam government unveiled a new scheme intended to boost agricultural productivity and double farmers' income. Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister, launched the Assam Millet Mission as a specific endeavour for this reason. launched the Assam Millet Mission with the goal of doubling farmers' income and improving nutrition. According to Sarma's tweet, it would also help with crop diversity to boost output. He continued by saying that beneficiaries received power tillers, pump sets, mini trucks, harvesters, crop seeds, and financial aid. Six soil testing and quality control labs, two knowledge centers, and other facilities were also opened by the chief minister to aid the state's transition to agricultural independence.
