A dogged determined lady Dalbir Kaur passed away, who fought her whole life alone for his brother Sarabjit Singh to release from Pakistan Jail, whom the Pakistani government had held captives and sentenced to death for spying by a Pakistan court in 1991 and died in 2013 in the prison there.
She passed away at the age of 60 on Saturday, 25 June. The cause of Dalbir’s death is said to be cardiac arrest. Her last rites have conducted today at Bhikhiwind in Punjab.
Sarabjit Singh Attwal was an Indian national convicted of terrorism and spying by a Pakistani court. He was tried and convicted by the Supreme Court of Pakistan for a series of bomb attacks in Lahore and Faisalabad that killed 14 bystanders in 1990.
The movie was also made inspiring by the real-life story of Sarabjit Singh, which was directed by Umung Kumar and along with the star cast of Randeep Hooda and Aishwarya Rai.
