Mevani will plea for bail today in Assam, after sending him jail for 5 days in a molestation and assault case registered in Assam by woman police.
The Gujarat MLA was arrested right after the CJM’s court in Kokrajhar district granted him bail on Monday, where he was arrested on 20 April from his home state in Gujarat in connection with an “objectionable” tweet against Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 18. And right after he out on bail he has charged again with an assault and molestation case filed by Assam woman police.
On Tuesday, he was sent to five days of police custody after his bail petition was rejected by Barpeta’s Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM).
Gujarat’s Independent MLA Jignesh and also Dalit activities will today move a fresh bail plea in Assam. He was arrested after six days being inside the jail for tweeting about Indian PM Modi he was again involved in another case filed by woman police of Assam for misbehaving with her ( assaulted and molested ).
