'The Kashmir Files': prove it wrong and I'll quit filming , Vivek Agnihotri on IFFI controversy

Israeli director and jury chair Nadav Lapid referred to The Kashmir Files, directed by Vivek Agnihotri, as a "vulgar movie" at the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) closing ceremony. After he made his comments, there was uproar, and several Indian celebrities showed their support for the Anupam Kher-starring movie. Finally responding to criticism leveled at his film, Vivek Agnihotri.
In a video he posted on Twitter, the director discusses the criticisms of his movie in detail. He remarked, "This is nothing new for me because these kinds of statements have been used by terrorist organizations and urban naxals, as well as individuals who advocate "Bharat ke tukde tukde." What is shocking, however, is that this terrorist narrative of Kashmir being split off from India was promoted on the platform of an event hosted by the Government of India.
Who are these individuals, he said, "who always oppose India? This film was created as a result of 700 interviews with individuals whose relatives had been murdered, gang-raped, and sawn in half. Are those 700 persons using filthy language and propagating propaganda?
I dare all intellectuals, urban naxals, and even the Israeli filmmaker who made these words to establish that any scene, phrase, or incident shown in the movie is untrue, he said in his closing statement. If they do it, then I will quit filmmaking.”
