Texas mom missing prior to mother’s day, family and friends worried and reported to police, has found dead of her own vehicle trunk according to the police.
The local residents reported to the police on Wednesday in Taxes City that a white Honda had been parked on the road for several days and foul odors coming out of it. When police arrived at the site and found the body of 24 years old Angela Mitchell according to KTRK-TV Houston (KTRK-TV is a television station in Houston, Texas, United States).
Mitchell’s mother could not be contacted with her daughter in 24 hours and that makes her worried Mitchell’s family and friends reported her missing on May 6 after she failed to return to her home in Dickinson the night before. Leaving behind four children: a 9-year-old girl, 7-year-old boy, 3-year-old girl and 7-month-old boy.
“It had become 24 hours since my last contact with her,” Mitchell’s mother told KTRK. “When I tried to find out why she didn’t respond to me, it went straight to voicemail and I couldn’t track her on the locator on our phones anymore. I started getting sick to my stomach”, she added.
Family and friends had tracked Mitchell’s location to Texas City, where they found her vehicle but were unable to find the young woman. Michelle’s mother requested the police to search for her daughter and investigate the case but they ignored it. And the family and loved ones of Mitchell have accused the police of not instantly taking the investigation seriously.
“I met police officers at her vehicle here in Texas City after filing a missing person report and I begged them,” Mitchell’s mother said. “I begged them to please search my daughter’s car. ‘Please search my daughter’s car. Please investigate this’. I begged. I begged the police officers, and they just dismissed me.”
The matter is not disclosed by police yet, whether the mother of four has been the victim of homicide or if they are looking for a suspect in connection with her death. Although, the police announced Thursday a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest or charges filed in Mitchell’s death.
