The North-Eastern Research Conclave will be held at IIT Guwahati from May 20-22
From May 20 to 22, 2022, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati will hold the first edition of the ‘North-Eastern Research Conclave.’
According to the institute, the event aims to improve regional industry-academia collaboration. It is a collaboration between the Government of Assam’s Department of Science, Technology, and Climate Change, the Department of Education, and IIT Guwahati. The event will take place on the campus of IIT Guwahati.
“Around 3,000 distinguished personalities from the eight North-East states and other regions of India are scheduled to attend the Conclave. They will come from a variety of backgrounds, including industry, academia, start-ups, research councils, public sector undertakings, laboratories, and technical institutes, as well as schools and colleges in the north-eastern region “a statement from the government said
Along with Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma and Union Minister for the Development of the North East Region (DONER) G Kishan Reddy, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is likely to attend the event.
