The state of Mizoram reports 102 new cases of COVID-19
Mizoram reported 102 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, five fewer than the previous day, bringing the total to 2,26,988, according to a health department official.
According to the official, Saitual district had the most new cases, with 45, followed by Khawzawl district (28) and Serchhip district (26).
He added the single-day positive rate fell to 13.72 percent from 35.79 percent the day before. According to the official, Mizoram now has 697 active COVID-19 cases, with 2,25,596 persons recovering from the infection so far, including 105 on Monday.
He said the COVID-19 death toll remained at 695 because no new fatalities had been registered in the previous 24 hours.
The COVID-19 recovery rate is now 99.38 percent, with a 0.30 percent death rate.
According to him, the state has tested more than 19.17 lakh samples for COVID-19.
Over 8.44 lakh people have been immunized with COVID-19 vaccine, according to state vaccination officer Lalmuanawma Jongte.. PTI COR RG RG
