On Friday (4 February), Tibetans living India/Delhi staged a massive protest. Burning Chinese flags outside the Chinese embassy in the national capital and raising slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, Tibetans marched in protest of the human rights violation in China. Earlier, a drama was staged by the activists for Students for Free Tibet in Dharamshala, where they termed the Olympics ‘Genocide 2022’.
The Tibetans, who also protesting against the Winter Olympics in China and demanding a boycott of the games, raised pro-Tibet and pro-India slogans and raised Tibetan and Indian national flags.The protests in India were a part of a global movement calling out China for its atrocities in Uyghurs. Similar protests were witnessed in Los Angeles in the United States and Lausanne in Switzerland a day before.
Before assembling near the Chinese embassy, hundreds of Tibetan exiles held a protest rally demanding freedom for Tibet.
