Tripura undergoes tightening of security after two crude bombs recovered

Following the discovery of two explosive devices on Thursday, hours after a fight between members of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress that left three people injured, security was increased throughout the Sepahijala region of Tripura.

The bomb squad authorities defused the devices that were found in Bishalgarh's Rautkhola village.
"The bombs were discovered on the side of the road. We have already defused these devices, which were built in the country. According to a top police official, the inquiry is ongoing. According to the police, three people were injured during the brawl between the BJP and Congress on Wednesday at Rautkhola.

For their apparent involvement in the incident, four people were detained.
In response, opposition leader and former chief minister Manik Sarkar claimed that the saffron party was losing support ahead of the 2023 assembly elections and that, out of fear, they were attempting to limit the democratic rights of the opposition and the general public.

Nabendu Bhattacharya, a spokesman for the BJP, stated: "It is obvious from his (Manik Sarkar's) words that his party and the Congress share a covert agreement. Workers for our party were attacked by members of Congress rather than taking part in the altercation.
