Uddhav Thackeray to chair Maharashtra Covid-19 task force meeting today
In the midst of an increase in Covid-19 instances and the new variant Omicron, Maharashtra is leading the country in the number of cases of the new variant. According to ANI, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will lead a virtual meeting of the state’s Covid-19 Task Force today.
The meeting with the COVID-19 Task Force will be chaired by the Chief Minister at 3.30 p.m., according to the Chief Minister’s Office.
On Wednesday, December 29, Maharashtra registered 3,900 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of current cases to 14,065. In addition, 20 COVID-19 deaths were reported during the day, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,41,496.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, 85 additional instances of the Omicron coronavirus were discovered in Maharashtra.
