In response to US Vice President Joe Biden’s declaration of a restriction on US imports of Russian oil, gas, and energy due to Moscow’s continued invasion of Ukraine, Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, repeated his US counterpart’s remarks that the measure was against Vladimir Putin’s ‘war machine.’
“I am grateful for the United States’ and @POTUS’ personal leadership in striking at the heart of Putin’s war machine by blocking oil, gas, and coal from the US market.” Encourage other countries and leaders to follow in his footsteps,” Zelenskyy said on Twitter.
“Today, I am announcing that the United States is attacking Russia’s key economic artery.” All Russian oil, gas, and energy imports are prohibited. As a result, Russian oil will no longer be accepted in American ports. “The American people will strike again at (Vladimir) Putin’s war machine,” he said. Biden announced the latest penalties against Russia in response to the invasion during a press conference at the White House.
