Boys and girls have been seen loitering at malls, restaurants, and parks after skipping class during the school day. According to the letter from the Child Rights Commission, this can result in unpleasant situations.
The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to prohibit schoolchildren from entering public spaces such as malls, restaurants, and parks while wearing their uniforms in an effort to dissuade kids from skipping class. In a letter to district administrators, the Commission for Protection of Child Rights pleaded for prompt implementation of the new policy.
Shuchitra Chaturvedi, the head of the Child Rights Commission, wrote to district administrators with the following statement: “It has come to our notice that boys and girls linger around in malls, restaurants, and parks during school hours after skipping classes. This might result in unwanted incidents. Stop this from happening by prohibiting students in uniform from entering public spaces during school hours.
The district administrations have been given a week by the commission to implement the policy and provide a report on it. The District Magistrates of all the districts have been instructed to act on this order and give a report within a week on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights.
Children who are currently enrolled in school, from pre-kindergarten through class twelve, will be subject to the ban. Sometimes, students in grades 11 and 12 apply for admission to junior colleges, however the order could also be applied to them.
Many students left their homes to attend school, but they frequently skipped class and went somewhere else to spend their time instead, leading to the passing of the order
