US comedian and Full House star Bob Saget found dead in Florida hotel room: Police

Bob Saget, the American comedian who made millions of people laugh as the star of Full House on television in the 1980s and 1990s, was found dead in a Florida hotel room on Sunday, according to the local sheriff.

Bob, who was 65 at the time, played Danny Tanner, a widowed father of three daughters whose struggles to raise children, with the help of his brother-in-law Jesse and friend Joey, formed the core of the hit Full House sitcom.

According to a sheriff's post on Twitter, the Orange County sheriff's office was alerted Sunday about an "unresponsive guy" in a hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando.

According to the statement, "the male was identified as Robert Saget" and "death was proclaimed at the scene," with detectives finding "no signs of foul play or drug usage in this case."
