After spending more than $600,000 on a 30-foot-long, 12,000-pound metal sculpture of Elon Musk riding a rocket, the cryptocurrency entrepreneurs did not receive the response they had hoped for from the billionaire.
The developers of "Elon GOAT," according to The Wall Street Journal, claim that the name of their cryptocurrency was inspired by their enthusiasm for Musk, whom they and other admirers feel is the "best of all time," or a "GOAT."

They took it to Tesla's offices, hoping Musk would accept the present. The event's organisers have christened it "Goatsgiving." According to the article, after spending approximately two hours outside the Tesla headquarters, the co-founders of Elon GOAT saw no sight of Musk. Dustin Dailey, a Tesla security officer, approached a gathering of about 15 individuals and said they couldn't accept Musk's sculpture but would put it on their property if Musk authorised.

According to the story, Elon GOAT co-founder and chief marketing officer Alec Wolvert stated that they planned to sleep out on public property off a toll road overlooking the offices until Musk accepted the sculpture. "We're going to remain as long as we can. Some even said they were going to strap themselves to it "Wolvert was said to have said. The sculptural concept came together last year. "It was an evening joke that kind of just came to fruition," said Ashley Sansalone, co-founder of Elon GOAT. "Elon tweeting us would give the token legitimacy," he added.
