Ramdev while speaking at a yoga programme in Thane stated, "Women look good in sarees, they look good in salwar suits, in my opinion they look good even if they don't wear anything," stated Baba Ramdev. It's interesting that he said this in front of MP Shrikant Shinde, wife of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis Amrita Fadnavis, and son of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. As a result, it is anticipated that the debate surrounding his statement sparked outraged.

Yoga participants who were women brought dresses, and a convention for women was afterwards planned. For this convention, women brought sarees. The morning, however, was dedicated to a yoga science camp, following which a women's yoga training programme was held. A public assembly for women got underway right away. Thus, women did not have time to dress in sarees. Baba Ramdev responded to this by saying that it is okay if you don't have time to wear sarees; just go home and do it. "Women look wonderful in sarees, women look nice in salwar suits, and in my eyes they look good even if they wear nothing," Ramdev continued.
Mumbai Mahila and Patanjali Yoga Peeth In the Highland area of Thane, hosted a Yoga Science Camp and Women's Meeting on Friday. Amrita Fadnavis was attending the meeting. Baba Ramdev was conversing with females during which he made a highly divisive statement.
Social media is flooded with the video of Ramdev's remark. The head of the Delhi Commission for Women, Swati Maliwal, shared the video and criticised the remark. Swati Maliwal stated that Ramdev has to apologise for his remarks disparaging women.
"Swami Ramdev's remarks on women in front of the wife of the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra are indecent and condemnable. All women have been hurt by this statement, Baba Ramdevji should apologise to the country for this statement!" Swati Maliwal tweeted.
