A Guwahati-based businessman was shot by two bike-borne miscreants last night at 8.30pm in a terrible event that occurred in the heart of the city. The businessman named Awadesh Kumar Yadav.
The incident happened in Guwahati’s Chatribari neighbourhood. He was rushed to the nearby Marwari Maternity Hospital, where he died from his injuries. According to reports, he was coming back home from his work. He is survived by his wife and five children.
According to those familiar with the matter, two unknown guys arrived on a two-wheeler and shot the businessman as he headed home. He was described as a very simple and gentle person by those who knew him well.
According to Special DGP GP Singh, an investigation is underway and is in a sensitive stage. GP Singh stated, the perpetrators of the horrible murder may be apprehended shortly.
