After 2 Years Accident Victim’s Family Gets Rs. 1.05 Crore As Compensation
This incident is of a woman who lived in Kozhikode, Kerala V V Babitha who was working as a teacher at a school in Kozhikode (Kozhikode is a coastal city in the south Indian state of Kerala), 2 years back died on a road accident on December 31, 2019.
The Motor Accident Claim Tribunal (MACT) in Kozhikode has granted a compensation of over Rs. 1 crore to the family of the victim, who died in the accident two years ago. After going through the evidence, the court decided in favor of the petitioners. The MACT Judge K Ramakrishnan ordered payment of a compensation of ₹ 1.02 crore. The amount comprised compensation of ₹ 80,84,900 and ₹ 21,15,100 as interest at 9 per cent.
The tribunal has ordered distribution of the amount equally in the family of the lady, in which her husband, two daughters and the mother is there.
