Alan Marbaniang from Meghalaya wins silver at National Arm Wrestling Championship; to represent India in Turkey
What a great moment for the people of Meghalaya when one of their son wins a national title and will represent the country internationally in the near future. The state of Meghalaya and the Meghalaya Police Department have received remarkable excellent news. In the National Arm-Wrestling Championship held in Hyderabad, Alan Sunn Marbaniang of Ribhoi Police Meghalaya won the Silver Medal (Left Hand Category) for Meghalaya. Alan will represent India at the 2021 World Arm Wrestling Championships in Turkey.
When Marbaniang won a silver medal, it was a proud moment for the Meghalaya Police Department. From May 31 to June 6, the competition will be held in the Gachibowli Sports Complex Stadium in Hyderabad. The competition is projected to attract around 900 players from 25 states.
“Yet another feather in our cap!” stated the Meghalaya police on Twitter as they shared the good news. UBC Alan Sunn Marbaniang of @RibhoiPolice won the Silver Medal (Left Hand Category) representing Meghalaya in the National Arm-Wrestling Championship held in Hyderabad.
