An errant chess robot breaks a 7-year-old’s finger during a tournament ! Watch

Chess is a strategy game mostly played by humans, and matches rarely get physical. But in a bizarre incident, a robot mediating the Moscow Open chess competition went rogue and grabbed and fractured the finger of a contestant who was 7 years old instead of picking the chess piece. The president of the Moscow Chess Federation, Sergey Lazarev, was quoted by the Russian news agency TASS as saying, “The robot fractured the child’s finger – this, of course, is horrible.”

In a video that ahas been making the rounds on social media, the robot was seen stealing one of the boy’s chess pieces before returning for another, but instead it grabbed his finger.

Twitter users’ reactions to the occurrence were somewhat surprising, despite the fact that it caused some individuals to feel frightened. In response to the video, one user said, “Never try to win against a machine.”
