Another robbery case has been recorded in the Noonmati neighbourhood of Guwahati. According to accounts, the theft occurred last night around 8.30 p.m., when a dacoit stole money and a cellphone from a man named Kishore Kalita.
Kalita, who had been confined to the GATE Hospital in Noonmati for a few days, was discharged from hospital, and was on his way home.
On his way back, a masked thug threatened him with a sharp blade and plundered him. According to sources, he scheduled an OLA to drive him home from the hospital after he was discharged, but because the OLA was late, he attempted to walk home via a short cut route along railway lines.
According to sources, the victim was admitted to the hospital emergency room following the incident and is currently being treated in the operating room for additional medical needs.
