A new image of Dawood Ibrahim has been released by India’s leading anti-terror organisation, along with an announcement of a Rs 25 lakh reward for information on the “global terrorist.” A 20 lakh reward has also been placed on Dawood Ibrahim’s subordinate Chhota Shakeel by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Other terrorists with a 15 lakh bounty each include Anees Ibrahim, Javed Chikna, and Tiger Memon.
According to a statement from the NIA, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Al Qaeda are all actively collaborating with Dawood Ibrahim and the others.
“In 1993, a number of bombings in Mumbai were the result of the D-Company, an organised crime group that used to smuggle gold and fake money. Overnight, the D-Company became a terrorist organisation. More than 250 innocent people lost their lives in the attack, and there was significant property damage worth millions of dollars “Last year, India released a statement.
In the 1993 Mumbai bombings, 12 bombs detonated at various points throughout the city, killing 257 people and injuring over 700 others. Dawood Ibrahim was the mastermind behind the attack. Dawood Ibrahim, who is listed as a global terrorist by a committee of the UN Security Council, continues to elude capture and remains in Pakistan.
The UN Security Council’s most recent list of terrorist organisations and individuals contained Dawood Ibrahim and his address in Karachi, supporting India’s claim that he has been sheltered by Pakistan.
