Aryan Khans Bail Plea to be heard Tomorrow; Remand in Custody till 11 October; NCB
After being arrested by the NCB in connection with a drugs case last week, Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, was produced before Killa court today. The NCB has requested additional custody since they are still conducting raids and anyone apprehended in those operations would have to face the current accused. According to the NCB’s remand copy, “we have apprehended one Aarchit Kumar and one foreign individual, and WhatsApp communications of these accused plainly establish the relationship between them, hence imprisonment is required.”
His bail application will be heard tomorrow at 11 a.m.
Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha, and five others have been sought to remand in custody by the NCB till October 11. Archit Kumar has been placed in NCB prison until October 9 for allegedly supplying drugs to Aryan Khan and Arbaaz Merchant.
Meanwhile, Aryan’s lawyer, Satish Maneshinde, contended in court that NCB custody for his client is unwarranted and that the agency cannot hold him prisoner for the duration of the investigation.
